This is the best massage I have ever received that wasn’t from a super expensive physiotherapist. Nong is not only super lovely, she is highly trained. She cares about helping you and fixing your pain. I have excruciating back pain as well as TMJ, and without me even telling her she massaged my face/jaw and it feels better for the first time in years. You will not find a better massage in LA at these prices. This place is the real deal.

For reference, I am in my 30s and healthy. Based on other reviews, I think the quality of the masseuses vary substantially at this location.

As a comparison, I know an exceptional deep tissue masseuse in Ventura (Amy at Tai Chi Massage), so that is the standard I measure by.

My sense was that the masseuse I had at Thai Friendly possessed very little or maybe no interest in their job. Low quality. Being entirely honest, I think maybe she was tired, lazy or just unqualified. I paid to be polite, but I don't think the experience was worth any amount of money.

I think deep tissue and Thai massages are more difficult to do well. Perhaps this place does Swedish better, or maybe a different masseuses would have been great. Who knows.

To customers: I strongly suggest that you do not let people walk on you unless you know you like that and have reason to trust the masseuse. If not, they might not know what they are doing and easily injure you.

The masseuse I had would have injured my tailbone and hip if I hadn't asked her to stop.

Thai Friendly, I would give you a second chance if you could recommend your best masseuse. 0% chance I would return without a specific name though.

I've been going here once a month for a year and it's still the best quality (and best price!) of any other massage place I've been to in LA that specializes in Thai massages. The women are so kind and give the best massages. Though they usually have a lot of walk-in availability, I always make an appointment and can get in whenever. The best part is that if you can't get in here, they own another place down the street.

I slept funny over the holiday weekend and rolled in the Sunday after thanksgiving when I woke up so sore that even reaching for my phone in my pocket made me wince. Michelle listened to me & eased in to working on my shoulder. In just 30 minutes I felt amazing. 99% less groaning getting dressed. So happy my friend at Woodcat Coffee down the block told me about this place! Great price for a great massage without a wait.

I was very dissatisfied with my service. I asked for a Thai/Swedish combo and only got a Swedish massage. That wouldn’t have been bad if she wasn’t obviously rushing through the massage. When I asked her to please apply more pressure she did for like 5 secs. Maybe she was tired, or may be just bad, idk. As a first time customer, I’m not happy at all. And they take payment upfront, so fyi

Worst massage I ever got. I’ve been to several Thai places, and this was not a real massage, I ended up in pain, I asked the therapist to do lighter pressure but she continued. Besides, she barely massaged me with the Swedish technique wich was terrible, probably she didn’t even knew how to do it. Don’t come here, you will regret forever.
